Priorities
Priority Issues of Opposition:
- Universal Pre-kindergarten: any effort to advance UPK
- Any efforts to end Medical Cost-Sharing plans
- Embryonic Stem Cell Research: any effort to undermine current law
- Any Planned Parenthood sponsored bill
o Planned Parenthood legislation from past sessions:
a. Forcing health care facilities to offer “emergency contraception” to victims of sexual assault;
b. Providing Planned-Parenthood-style sex education to students;
c. Removing the “conscience clause “ in our current law that protects pharmacists who as a matter of conscience do not want to fulfill a prescription that would lead to an abortion, and
d. Forcing insurance companies to cover contraceptives.
Priority Issues of Support:
1. Human Labor and Sexual Trafficking
2. Indecent Public Exposure
3. Adoption: Putative Father Registry to facilitate more adoptions for waiting families.
4. Education: Amending current law to allow Colleges to offer degrees if they are “in the process” of getting an accreditation.
