Encourage believers!

An ongoing theme throughout scripture is the need for believers to fellowship and encourage one another in the Lord.  We all are encouraged as we look around to see others standing for righteousness in a city council meeting, the media, or in the marketplace.  Our faith is not in elected officials, judges, or the media outlets, but in Jesus Christ alone.  Because government organizes so much of society we must be involved to insure that "policies" support families, marriage and the freedoms laid forth in our Constitution.

Freedom is a gift from God. i.e. "We hold these truths to be self-evident...all men are created equal, endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights...that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." Did a group of atheists come up with this concept around their kitchen table?  Therefore, we must be good stewards, given the opportunity to influence the institutions for His glory.
